Halloween Safety

Halloween – a time that comes round every year. A time that some love, yet others hate. Why? Costumes, sweets, and children talking to strangers, taking sweets from them, a thing they are advised against on every other day of the year.

Aside from the obvious: creepy strangers in freaky costumes, with no one knowing who’s behind the masks, at their doors, there are other problems some people have to face. Other things that are, to some people, more deadly than a ‘killer’ clown, more lethal than the grim reaper. What, you ask?

People who suffer from allergies are at a higher risk of having an anaphylactic reaction on Halloween, due to contamination from door to door trick-or-treaters, ingredients only printed on the outside packaging of mixed bags, and face paints.

Remember to have fun this Halloween, but don’t let the fun make you forget the more serious issues surrounding it.
